Create Applications for iLinux OS
Guidelines to create Applications for iLinux OS
iLinux OS is based on the Latest Unmodified Debian Stable, so whatever runs in Debian will run in iLinux OS.
Debian is one of the first Linux Distributions (Distros) ever created and thus it has enormous User & Software Base and great Backwards Compatibility.
Try to make your Application 100% Scriptable.
Scriptable Applications are easier to maintain and easier to be Audited for Security.
Try to make your Application as much autonomous as possible, aka with as little Package Dependencies as possible.
Optimum preference is for your Application to not have any Package Dependencies at all.
To check if a Package Dependency is already installed in iLinux OS, go to:
Control Center > Administration > Installed Packages
Application Icon must be in SVG format (512px x 512px).
You can create the Icon with Applications "Inkscape" or "Boxy SVG", which are pre-installed in iLinux OS.
If you are not creating a Portable Application (App Image), create a ".deb" Software Package for distributing your Application.
DEB (.deb) Packages are the Default Software Package Format for Debian and thus for iLinux OS too.
